Chef Walter Staib Recognized for the show, A Taste of History

TAKES HOME FOURTH EMMY AWARD

~ Chef Walter Staib Recognized for the show, A Taste of History ~

Sandals Resorts Culinary Ambassador, Walter Staib, took home his fourth Emmy Award on Sunday, September 23, 2012 for his show, A Taste of History.  The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences bestowed the “2012 Best on Camera Talent Program Host” award to Chef Staib for his excellence on the show in front of a hearth fire and in historical locations.

This award recognizes Staib’s talent in season three of the show, which includes exotic favorites from the 18th century, including baked stuffed sturgeon, pickled herring bonne femme, curried tofu with shrimp and beef tongue with caper sauce.  During season three, Staib cooks at the homes of George and Martha Washington as well as James and Dolley Madison. Staib also filmed in the south coast of Jamaica and Great Exuma, Bahamas to share the influence that the West Indies had on Colonial culture and dining. “Sandals Resorts is proud to be a sponsor of the award winning show and share the rich culture of the islands in which we operate with viewers,” said Gordon “Butch” Stewart, Chairman of Sandals Resorts International.
